HOW TO GET HERE

Getting to our villa in Bela Sulu is an adventure in itself, but we assure you
that the journey is well worth it!

STEP 1
TAKE A FLIGHT TO PADANG

First, you need to fly to Padang in Sumatra - Minangkabau International Airport from Kuala Lumpur, Singapore or Jakarta, depending on where you will be travelling from.
Airlines available are Air Asia, Swirijaya, Citilink, Garuda Indonesia, Lion Air & Batik Air - which operate daily flights.

An airport shuttle is included in your accommodation package. Our villa representative will meet you at the airport with a "Bela Sulu Villas" sign. The driver will take you to your hotel (options 1 & 2) or straight to Muara Harbour (option 3).

STEP 2
CHOOSE WHICH TRAVEL OPTION YOU'D PREFER

There are 3 different ways to get to the Mentawais. Depending on your time, budget and the size of your group, we will lay out the different options to choose from below.
OPTION 1:
Fly with Susi Air + Car transport

OPTION 2:
Mentawai Fast Ferry + Car transport

Ferry 3.30 hrs + Car 2 hrs 
OPTION 3:
Private Speedboat Transfer

$5,500 per roundtrip (up to 10 pax)
$7,000 per roundtrip (up to 18 pax)

Which days should I book my flights to/from Padang?

For options 1 & 2:
For your ARRIVAL in Padang, as there are no connecting flights your arrival flight should be one day before your check-in date. 

For your RETURN, when departing from the Mentawais by flight (opt 1) you can connect flights straight out of Padang (book from Padang no earlier than 11.00 am). This option would only be possible if you have no surfboards.
If departing by ferry (opt 2) you can only book a flight
after the check-out date.
For option 3:
This is the most convenient option for group bookings and can be arranged to suit any connecting flight schedule to/from Padang.
You can arrive/depart the same day as your check-in/out of your stay, this way you lose no time and can surf on the same day.

TRAVEL ITINERARY TO BELA SULU VILLAS

Opt 1: Susi Air Flight + Car

Suitable for single travellers, couples or small group/families - looking for a faster way to travel and the most affordable option.
ARRIVAL
- Take Susi Air flight from Padang to Rokot airport
- Flight schedules are Mon, Wed, Fri at 7.00 am
- Flight schedules from October onwards are Tues & Fri at 7.00 am
- You will arrive at 7.40 am at Rokot airport
- Then car from Rokot airport to Bela Sulu Villas
- You would arrive around 9.30 am

RETURN
- Depart from your villa at 5.30 am by car
- Take Susi Air from Rokot Airport to Padang airport
- Flight schedules are Mon, Wed, Fri at 7.50 am
- Flight schedules from October onwards are Tues & Fri at 7.50 am
- Arrival time in Padang is approximately 9.00 am
Please note: Susi Air currently cannot bring surfboards on the flight. Option to send on ferry on the day of your departures. Please ask for more info. Also, we would first need to check for availability as flight seats are very limited.

Opt 2: Mentawai fast ferry + car

Taking the Mentawai Fast Ferry would be more suitable if you travel with surfboards and cheaper if you are travelling with a non-surfer. 
ARRIVAL
- Take the Mentawai fast ferry from Padang to Tuapejat
- Ferry schedule:
  Sun & Mon - 10.00 am
  Wed & Fri - 7.00 am
- Arrive in Tuapejat at 1.30 pm on Mon & Sun and 10.30 am on Wed
   & Fri
- Car transport from Tuapejat to Bela Sulu Villas
- Approx. arrival time at the villa:
   On Sun & Mon - 3.30 pm
   On Wed & Fri - 12.30 pm

RETURN
- Deprt your villa at 12.00 pm by car
- Fast ferry from Tuapejat to Padang
- Departure schedules are on Mon, Wed, Fri, Sun - 3 .00 pm
- Arrival in Padang - 6.30 pm

Package includes - ferry ticket, luggage, surfboards (for surfers) & car transfer to/from Tuapejat to/from your villa. Please make sure you keep your tickets with you at all times.

Opt 3: Private Speedboat Transfer

This option is the most expensive, but suitable for group/big families bookings if you want to have flexible flight schedules arriving/departing Padang.
ARRIVAL
- Direct speedboat from Muara Harbour, Padang to Bela Sulu
   Villas, Mentawai.
- Flexible schedule, departure anytime before 12.30 pm from
   Padang.
- Make sure your flight arrives before 11.00 am in Padang.

RETURN
- Flexible departure time from the villa:
  Earliest - 6.30 am
  Latest - 2.00 pm
- If you do not wish to spend a night in Padang, the flight must be before 4.00 pm.
